Standex FSEG Appoints Bryan Wadie as VP Operational Excellence

Bryan Wadie was appointed to the newly created position of VP Operational Excellence for the Standex Food Service Equipment Group (FSEG). In this new role, Bryan reports directly to Anne De Greef-Safft and indirectly to Don Clark, the Corporate Director of Operational Excellence.  Bryan will be responsible for developing, leading and implementing business and operational excellence practices, principles and philosophies. 

The focus on operational excellence is a critical partner to the Standex Growth Disciplines to assure that Standex grows profitably and maintains high working capital efficiency. Together, the Standex Growth Disciplines and operational excellence form the two key operational pillars of the management system. In his new role, Bryan will help anchor these efforts. He will provide leadership and support operational performance by improving processes, eliminating waste, and optimizing flow in all aspects of FSEG businesses, leading to the development of an operational excellence culture. Bryan will also work closely with Anne and with Don Clark on driving strategy deployment processes within FSEG. Bryan will continue to work out of the Allen, TX location and spend a significant amount of his time travelling as he supports the FSEG businesses. 

Bryan brings with him over 30 years of experience in operations and lean transformation. Bryan has been with the Standex Cooking Solutions Group since 2008, serving first as VP of Customer Satisfaction/Business Process and most recently as VP Business Excellence.  Among his many projects was managing the consolidation of three of our US-based FSEG factories into our Nogales facility. Prior to joining Standex, Bryan served as General Manager for Stonecreek Furniture, Arizona’s largest furniture manufacturer. Prior to that, Bryan held several roles of increasing responsibility for Jostens, a Minneapolis-based provider of products, programs and services that help its K-12 educational, college and professional sports customers celebrate moments that matter, culminating in his role as Director of Lean and Six Sigma Strategy.  Prior to Jostens, Bryan held a number of roles for Texas Instruments, and began his career in the United States Marine Corps reaching the rank of Sergeant. Bryan holds an MBA degree from the University of North Texas, a BS degree from Northern Illinois University, a Certification in Lean Manufacturing from the University of Kentucky, and is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
